INTERNATIONAL PUBLIC LAW

This course is aimed at educating students about the basic principles of international public law. Students shall gain the knowledge necessary for a full understanding of international relations, processes, and the legal foundations of contemporary international relations and today’s international community. The course will introduce students to international legal documents and the judgments and outcomes of international law; or, in other words, to the international legal system and its solutions to the problems of international relations and affairs. The concept and evolution of international law, the subjects of international law, the status and participation of particular groups and institutions, citizens as the subjects of international law, the development of human rights law, international business law, international war-time and humanitarian law, the role of the United Nations and other international organizations, and international cooperation and other relevant questions of the contemporary world must be studied in order to gain a full understanding of the process of international relations.
