COMPARATIVE POLITICAL SYSTEMS

6 ECTS credits

Students will be introduced to foundations of political systems and regimes of the 20th century. Particular attention will be paid to political culture, political and civic participation, elections, factions and special interest groups and political parties. Moreover, students will become acquainted with political institutions within a state and within various political systems through the use of a comparative method. Finally, the course will concentrate on some specific political systems and discuss their transformation in light of globalizations and new configurations of the global political order.
