ADVERTISEMENT FOR VACANT POSITIONS
Applicants are invited for the multiple positions of lecturer, senior lecturer, assistant professor, associate professor and full professor in fields of social science, humanities, biomedical science and health science.
Eligible applicants have to comply with the requirements listed in Scientific Work and Higher Education Act (Narodne Novine 123/03, 198/03, 105/04, 174/04, 46/07).
The applicants submitting their applications for the positions listed have to be previously selected for the same position.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR ALL POSITIONS:
A copy of certificate of nationality (domovnica) or a copy of passport (for non-Croatian candidates)
A curriculum vitae or resume that details all relevant professional or academic experience (a list of publications inculuded).
ADDITIONAL CRITERIA:
- Senior Lecturer in International Relations and Diplomacy
• A distinguished diplomatic career and experience in the practice of diplomacy; significant experience with a foreign diplomatic placement with an international organization or embassy is a plus;
• Experience teaching at the graduate level;
• Experience teaching with a participative pedagogy which relies on active engagement of students in their classroom learning.
• All teaching and administrative work is conducted in English, therefore all successful candidates must have native-level English fluency.
- Lecturer in International Relations and Diplomacy
• at least a Masters degree as well as an undergraduate degree in international relations, or foreign affairs and diplomacy;
• research and/or work experience in the world of diplomacy;
• native-level English fluency since all courses and administrative work are conducted in English;
• a proven track record as a successful classroom teacher comfortable and skilled in teaching by a participative pedagogy which relies on active engagement of students in their classroom learning.
- Lecturer in International Business and Economics
• at least a Masters degree as well as an undergraduate degree in business and/or management;
• research and teaching interests both in the world of academic theory and the world of business practice, since our courses rely on an understanding of real world economic and business practice;
• native-level English fluency since all courses and administrative work are conducted in English;
• a proven track record as a successful classroom teacher comfortable and skilled in teaching by a participative pedagogy which relies on active engagement of students in their classroom learning;
• strong skills and experience in academic administration and the ability to coordinate programs and faculty from all over the world.
- Lecturer in International Business and Economics
• at least a Masters degree as well as an undergraduate degree in business and/or management as well as a strong academic training in research methods;
• research and teaching interests both in the world of academic theory and the world of business practice, since our courses rely on an understanding of real world economic and business practice;
• native-level English fluency since all courses and administrative work are conducted in English;
• a proven track record as a successful classroom teacher comfortable and skilled in teaching by a participative pedagogy which relies on active engagement of students in their classroom learning;
• strong skills and experience in academic administration and the ability to coordinate programs and faculty from all over the world.
- Assistant professor (docent)
• Taught at least 10 standard teaching hours at university
• 5 publications in relevant journals
• 2 Current Contens publications
• At least 2 participation in international symposia
• Textbooks or teaching materials (at least for one class)
• 5 Quotations
- Associate professor
• Taught at least 20 standard teaching hours at university
• 10 publications in relevant journals
• 4 Current Contens publications
• Participated in 4 international symposia
• Textbooks or teaching materials (textbook for one course)
• 20 quotations
• Mentor of at least one thesis
- Full professor
• Taught at least 40 standard teaching hours at university
• 30 publications in relevant journals
• 10 Current Contens publications
• Participated in 10 international symposia

JOBS AT DIU - GENERAL INFORMATION
We are particularly interested in faculty who can teach the following fields:
• International Relations Theory
• Geopolitics
• Institutions and Economics of the European Union
• Comparative Politics with a focus on Europe or development
• Finance
• International Business
Candidates should have a proven track record of teaching in English with a participative teaching style. Under the European Bologna system, each course must have 60 hours per semester. But for faculty we are interested in, DIU can be flexible in how this requirement is satisfied.
