Required application materials

  1. A completed application form
  2. Official high school transcripts: For applications received till July, we require a copy of high school transcripts of the first three years. For those applying in July, we require original or a copy of final high school transcripts. A final, certified copy of high school transcripts is also required for enrollment
   3. The state graduation (for Croatian students only) - evaluation of enrollment requirements

              A. Undergraduate preogram International Relations and Diplomacy
                         Total grade average: 30%
                         Foreign language: 10% A level
                         Croatian language: 5% A level
                         Mathematics: 5% B level
                         2 essays and interview 50%

               B. Undergraduate program International Business and Economy
                         Total grade average: 30%
                         Mathematics: 10% A level
                         Croatian language: 5% B level
                         Foreign Language: 5% A level
                         2 essays and interview 50%

   4. Nostrification certificate (for non-Croatian students): validation of foreign secondary school qualifications (if admitted).
   5. A copy of certificate of nationality (domovnica) or a copy of passport (for non-Croatian students)
   6. Birth certificate (an original or certified copy)
   7. Two photos (6x4)
   8. Two essays in Croatian or English, including:
          a) Personal Statement:  Explain your academic interests, future career goals, and reasons for applying to the DIU. There is no specific topic that you must write about in a personal statement nor is there a right or wrong answer. Rather, the personal statement is a chance for you to tell us more about yourself. For example, you could focus on explaining why you are interested in studying politics or economics, what inspires you or what your future goals are. Regardless of what topic you chose, it should be something that you would want the DIU admissions panel to know about yourself. Please limit your response to one page.
          b) Analytical Essay: Please write only one analytical essay based on the program you are applying for. Please limit your response to three pages.
              B1. International Relations and Diplomacy essay topics:
                  1."What person or event had the greatest global impact in 2009?"
                  2. ''Discuss the role of the United Nations in conflict resolution''
                  3."What are the major issues with EU enlargement?"
              B2. International Business:
                  1. ''The impact of globalization on Croatian economy''
                  2."The causes of the global economic crisis"
                  3."Advantages or disadvantages of free trade agreements"
  

   9. Two recommendations from those familiar with your work (recommendations from family members or friends will not be considered)
   10. A certification of payment of 500 kn (70 €, $100) for admission costs. The payment is to be charged to the DIU account:
